Aujourd'hui, c'est la ferme Munnix sur le plateau de Herve qui est dans le collimateur. Ils font partie des derniers véritables Fromages de Herve du Plateau. Comme le veut la tradition, ils sont encore préparés à base de lait cru toujours tiède de la traite.

Et c'est là le problème. L'afsca estime que l'utilisation de lait cru toujours tiède de la traite est anti hygiénique. Bien que Joseph Munnix a appris la méthode de fabrication de sa mère et poursuit la tradition depuis, sans avoir jamais rencontré de problèmes sanitaires. Bien que des centaines de consommateurs lui font confiance et apprécient ses produits.

L'AFSCA le fustige et décide de stopper la production.

C'est une atteinte au producteur dans son processus créatif à la recherche de produits originaux et novateurs. C'est une atteinte aux attentes du consommateur qui a le droit de manger ce qu'il veut sans devoir demander l'autorisation à un organisme d'état.
