Le conflit en Israël et en Palestine semble sans fin. Parfois, on oublie qu'il a été façonné par une longue histoire marquée par des intérêts locaux et internationaux. Durant cet atelier, vous en apprendrez plus sur l'histoire du conflit, la lutte contre l'occupation, la situation des réfugiés palestiniens et le contexte de Jérusalem.

Les ateliers auront lieu en anglais donc nous avons mis la description dans cette langue. Si c'est un obstacle pour vous, n'hésitez pas à nous le faire savoir et nous trouverons une solution!

Palestine, how did we get there?

In 2017, Palestine has been occupied for 50 years. It has also been 100 years since the British foreign minister signed a declaration supporting a Jewish State in the area.
Nowadays, illegal Israeli colonies in the Palestinian areas are being built by the minute. We have daily news of human rights abuses in Israeli prisons, checkpoints and basic streetlife. The situations gets more explosive everyday.

The conflict seems everlasting. However, the current situation has a long history shaped by concrete local and foreign interests.
So exactly what happened and what is the current situation?

To clarify this, intal organizes a one-day workshop on the subject.

Programme

*For Dummies*
11 am - 1 pm: history, current campaigns and modes of resistance
2 pm - 4 pm: Palestinian refugees: who are they, where do they live and what is their situation?

*For experts*
11 am - 1 pm: Jeruzalem: mixed or segregated city?
2 pm - 5 pm: Current campaigns and Belgian and European complicity

*For all*
6 pm - 8 pm: FILMSCREENING + DISCUSSION: The Lab
